In 2009, with massive budget cuts to California Community College special needs programs, the Student Government Association at Bakersfield College saw a growing need among students on Campus. SGA determined that the food bank was needed to better serve the students. Over the winter break of 2009, SGA organized The Renegade Pantry. The Pantry's main goal is to help maintain the health and welfare of Bakersfield College students through organized college, community sponsorships and donations of nonperishable food items.
Sign-up at Campus Center 4 on the designated dates. Delano Campus students sign-up at A&R on the designated dates. Distribution date hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00noon and 4:00 p.m.to 5:30 p.m.

Energency Assistance is available beginning in Summer 2013
Each Student is allowed to receive one emergency food basket during the summer semesters adn two emergency food baskets during fall and spring semesters. Please go to the Student Activities office for more information.
